At Aird an Runair, North Uist this morning the most notable occurrence was a flock of 57 Black-tailed Godwits. One of these stood out being still in winter plumage and appeared to be slightly longer-legged and longer-billed than the others. Perhaps nominate limosa although very rare in Scotland (the only record I can recall was seen on Tiree some years ago).
Also there were six Whimbrel, a Merlin, a few White Wagtails and many Wheatears.
