Castlebay, Barra
Two Siberian Chiffchaffs and a Treecreeper were around the football pitch today. A Red-necked Grebe was off Bruernish.

Weather: Wind S f6 veering SSW f7. 8/8 cloud, very dull, murky at sea and heavy rain setting in. Temp 9C.

A near 4 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Eider (S), 3 Long-tailed Ducks (S), 14 Red-throated Divers (S), 1 Black-throated Diver (S), 46 Great Northern Divers (S), 30 Gannets (28S 2N), 10 Shag (8S 2N), 2 Cormorants (S), 1 Golden Plover (S - in off sea), 1 Guillemot(S), 1 Black Guillemot (S) and 3 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 10, Wigeon 2, Teal 3, Tufted Duck 5, Long-tailed Duck 1, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Red-throated Diver 1, Grey Heron 1, Grey Plover 2, Bar-tailed Godwit 5, Snipe 2, Redshank 22, Black-headed Gull 1, Twite 180.
