Tony Marr reports from Ness, Isle of Lewis that a "lively flock" of 85 Snow Buntings were seen at the
Butt mid-morning. Also that the regular flock of 18 Barnacle Geese on and around
Loch Stiapavat had been joined by another 6 that dropped in.

During a 1.5 hour seawatch this morning: Red-throated Diver (3S, 2N), Great Northern Diver (3S, 1N), Gannet (5S, 8N), Shag (4S, 51N), Cormorant (2S), Razorbill/Guillemot (2S).
Also in the area were: Greylag Goose 5, Wigeon 47, Pintail 1, Teal 10, Tufted Duck 10, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Red-throated Diver 1, Great Northern Diver 1, Common Buzzard 1, Lapwing 56, Golden Plover 5, Ringed Plover 67, Snipe 6, Bar-tailed Godwit 7, Knot 1, Sanderling 77, Skylark 7, Starling 70, Meadow Pipit 3, Rock Pipit 2, Twite 8
