Black-tailed Godwits have been in short supply this spring for me in South Uist but happy to see a single individual at Peninerine. 25 Light-bellied Brent Geese were at Stoneybridge most likely grounded by the chill northerly winds. Closer to home, 16 Whimbrel and a Pink-footed Goose were on the machair at Askernish

The Gadwall pair were still at Carinish today. Highlight for us was our only Corncrake of the trip at Balranald this morning though.

Off to Barra for a single day tomorrow before heading home on Sunday. We’ll be eagerly looking for updates from Bruce tomorrow to tip us off to anything interesting!
