Apart from 145 Oystercatchers there were not many other waders present during a WeBS count at Loch Paible this morning. At least 60 Arctic Terns were present in the colony and number had been augmented by a recent arrival of 2nd CY birds. Also there were four just fledged and one much younger chick. A pair of Great Black-backed Gulls with a well grown chick nearby was not good news. A 2nd CY Glaucous Gull was loafing on the W side of the loch.
