St. Kilda
Two Long-tailed Skuas (adult and 2nd summer ) were seen 10 miles north of St. Kilda today
Skigersta, Isle of Lewis
One Rose-coloured Starling was still present there today with three again at Cross
Loch Sandary, North Uist
An immature Glaucous Gull was there today
Balranald, North Uist
An adult Curlew Sandpiper seen the today
Balemore, North Uist
A Rose-coloured Starling was seen there today and had also been present the previous day
Carinish, North Uist
The Rose-coloured Starling was again visiting gardens there
Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 07:30-11:05
Weather: Wind W f2-3, mix of sunny spells and cloud. Isolated light showers. Temp 10 - 12C.
A 3.5 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Red-throated Divers (N), 90 Gannets (81S 9N), 2 Great Skuas (1S 1N) and 2 auk sp (N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 4, Mute Swan 2, Shelduck 12, Tufted Duck 6, Eider 24, Cormorant 23, Turnstone 7, Black-headed Gull 26, Common Gull 45, Great Black-backed Gull 6, Herring Gull 60, Lesser Black-backed Gull 2, Sandwich Tern 1, Little Tern 2, Arctic Tern 52 [including an arrival of 30+ 2CY birds], Rock Dove 8, Raven 3, Sand Martin 22, Rose-coloured Starling 1[adult], Starling 250, Wheatear 1, Pied Wagtail 3, Meadow Pipit 8
