Sightings by Peter Gray at Aird an Runair, North Uist on April 22nd and 23rd and information of ringing from Graham McElwaine of the Irish Brent Goose Research Group:

On 22nd dak blue on left leg with white Z and dark blue with white D on right with 9 other Brents (unringed) and 80 Barnacle Geese (two seen to be ringed). This bird was originally caught on a pitch and putt course in Dungarvan, County Waterford in 2008. It was subsequently retrapped at Baldoyle, North Dublin, last spring, when the plastic rings were replaced.

On 23rd the above was still present along with 130 others (seven colour-ringed):

V (lime green on right leg) and L (yellow on left) ringed as 4 Strangford Lough/Cross Island on 28/11/2014.

T (lime on right) and J (yellow on left) ringed as 4♀ Strangford Lough/Cross Island on 28/11/2014.

U (white on right) and I (red on left) ringed as 6 Red Arches Road, Baldoyle, Co. Dublin 12/02/2010.

B (orange on right) and I (black on left) ringed as 6 Dublin Bay/North Bull Causeway (N. Saltmarsh) 03/04/2016.

N (blue on right) and B (yellow on left) ringed as 5 Rogerstown/South Pier Green, Rush 02/03/2015.

4 (white on right) and B (red on left) ringed as 6 ringed in Iceland 12/05/2017.

P (white on right) and 4 (red on left) ringed as 3 Strangford Lough/Cross Island on 04/11/2015.
