A juvenile Goldfinch ringed at Askernish, South Uist on 11th June 2021 was controlled (caught and released) at Fanmore, Isle of Mull on 27th March 2022. a distance of 104km (64.62 miles) and a duration of 289 days.

A Lesser Redpoll ringed here in Askernish on 29-March-2022 was controlled (caught and released by a ringer) in Wassenaar, Meijendelseweg, The Netherlands on 15-November-2022, a duration of 231 days and a distance of 939 km (583.5 miles)
